Primrose Interior Design believes that design is a collaborative process. Together, we can create a space that is comfortable, functional, and beautiful. Below is a quick overview that explains our process for creating design solutions that fit your needs. All jobs are unique and we can create a plan that meets your specific project goals. Step 1 in reaching our for interior design services

Take a moment to complete and submit our Design Questionnaire. After we receive the completed questionnaire, we’ll contact you for a complimentary 30-minute discovery call. After our chat, if everyone agrees this seems like a good fit, we’ll schedule a Scope Meeting in your home. During the in-home consultation, we will discuss the specifics of your project. The charge for a Scope Meeting is $300/hr.

 
Step 2 in reaching our for interior design services

Primrose Interior Design's fees are based on the size and scope of the project. After the in-home consultation, a detailed proposal will be provided to the client. The proposal will include an estimate of fees associated with all the details of the project. The hourly fee for design services is $175/hour.  Project fees can vary from $5,000 - $10,000 for small to medium projects and $10,000 - $30,000 for large projects. This fee is for design time only and does not include the cost of furniture, fixtures, or contractors. Every job is different, so it’s best to schedule a meeting at your home to discuss the specifics.

 
 
Step 3 in reaching our for interior design services

Once the agreement is signed and the deposit is received, Primrose gets to work! Here is a typical project outline:

  1. Discuss design aesthetic or “concept design.”

  2. Establish purchasing budget.

  3. Document, measure, and photograph your home.

  4. Create floor and/or furniture plans.

  5. Source the lighting, furnishings, and finish materials.

  6. Conduct a design consultation with the client. During this meeting we'll review all the project details, including fabrics, carpet samples, paint chips, and finishes. Together we will make all final decisions.

  7. Purchase furniture and accessories - During this phase we'll oversee or assist with purchasing all the pieces of the design puzzle.

  8. Secure trade professionals - If your project needs an electrician, woodworker, painter, or other specialist we'll work together to find the best person for the job to implement the design plan.

  9. Review and Install - Once everything arrives, either in our warehouse or at your home and is installed, we'll review it all in person to make tweaks and discuss any additional selections.
